Final of Phase 1 Against Eastbourne
Played well and Very Strong Performance
Sunday was our last fixture of the 1 st phase of matches in the Sussex League . Having played well only conceeding 5 tries in the earlier 3 games , a final win would have been a great achievement . With the boys focused , warmed up and ready for action they started well racing to an early 3 try lead with tires from Ben Ampstead,Sam morton Smith and Monty Hall . All the tries pleasing , rucking well and passing the ball well to boys to run into space and score .Unfortunately we gave away a silly try just before half time .
The second half was not as fluent as the first , we were not as well organised and allowed Eastbourne back into the game . To the boys credit they dug deep and fought hard tackling well , tries from Richard Cole and two from Alex Tagg saw us finish on 6 scores. Although the visitors managed to score two consolation tries in the half the Bridge played well for a deserved 6-3(30-15 win) and thus end up unbeaten and top of the group.
Once i hear back from the league , i will pass onto you which group and the resulting teams we will be playing in the second phase games(end of Feb and during April)
One other point
