Conclusion

• This application has taken five and a half years to produce. It has been driven by a determination to raise cash from the site.

• The site should be retained as open space. ERFC believes that if the frontage along Station Road were opened up with a limited parkland-like aspect similar to Stangrove Park surrounding a Community Centre, it would enhance the approach to the Town.

• The remainder of the school site could then be playing fields serviced by the Sports Pavilion recycled from the Science Block.

• It would then be open space for the foreseeable future.

• This was originally an area of pasture land grazed by sheep and cattle. It was compulsory purchased to build a school for the community.

• Local Government failed the community in regard to Eden Valley School. Do not let them fail the community yet again by turning this open space into another dormitory area for commuters.
