About Us

Edenbridge is a small historical town in Kent, situated close to the borders with East Sussex and Surrey. About 5 miles south of the M25, in the Garden of England and with a population approaching 9,000, it is a world away from the urban sprawl of the metropolis. The Rugby Club was formed thirty years ago and is based at the Recreation Ground off Lingfield Road, where the Club has two excellent pitches and considerable extra training space.

Edenbridge Rugby Football Club is very much a community club with players drawn widely from the surrounding area and embracing Lingfield, Godstone, Oxted and Westerham.

It is a club that sums up the very spirit of the game of rugby, with individuals from diverse backgrounds; from farmers to financial directors and builders to merchant bankers. There is one common desire; to play rugby in the tradition of sportsmanship and fun, whilst striving to raise standards. A thriving Junior Section started 11 seasons ago, guided by an enthusiastic group of officials and coaches, is now beginning to feed players into the senior teams, so guaranteeing a bright future for the club.

Like all clubs, we are always on the lookout for experienced players, but for those who want to explore the game of rugby from a background of little or no previous exposure, we equally would look forward to joining in your apprenticeship.
Training takes place every Wednesday at 7.00 p.m.
