Edenbridge 2nd XV vs Beccehamians, Friendly
A spirited performance from the 2nd XV saw them register their third win over Beccs this season in emphatic style. The game was played at a fantastic tempo with quick ruck ball and a good many turnovers being provided for the backs who look confident in possession. To ‘nil’ your opposition is always a pleasing thing; to ‘nil’ them and be close to scoring 50 points yourselves is even more so.
There were solid performances from Sonny Daniels, Tom Moody, Chris Jageurs and Alisdair Penny with a man of the match performance from Reiss Caskey, growing into the fly half role with every game. Caskey went over for a brace of tries himself which coupled with his points from the boot have put him at the top of the season’s point scorer list for the 2nd XV.
This could be the galvanising game for the 2nd XV in what has been a difficult season building a team from scratch. It is certainly a game to build on for next year.
